Traffic Data Collection
Represents the various approach movements (left, thru, right) that pass through an intersection over a given period of time, are collected for a variety of purposes at signalized and un-signalized intersections. The data is used to aid in a comprehensive traffic signal optimization study for the Traffic Signal Optimization project.
Queue Length Surveys
Data can be useful for model calibration at locations where queues persist from one signal cycle to the next. Surveyed measurements are normally taken at a consistent point in the signal cycle (e.g. at the start of green), specified for each traffic lane and measured in meters or PCUs. and a continuous queue on the approach.
